Fun Facts
- In 500 B.C., the Greeks invented a reed pen
with a point cut in diverse ways to produce different letter shapes. They made
it more flexible by adding a slit-the same principle used with modern fountain
pen nibs.
- Pencils didn't have erasers on them until 100 years ago because teachers felt
they would encourage children to make mistakes.
